Day two of the Sunbelt Ag Expo brought both smoke and flavor with the 33rd annual Young Farmers Que-Fest, as well as cooking demonstrations hosted by the Georgia Young Farmer Wives.
A full-on BBQ celebration that drew the attention of those who passed, showcased the South’s best in barbecue tradition. Young Farmer members fired up their grills, serving up mouthwatering plates packed with flavor.
KMC and Farm Credit continue to support this event to highlight the skills, passion, and innovation of agriculture’s next generation. With smoky aromas in the air and competition heating up, day two delivered a perfect mix of food, farming, and fun, solidifying the Expo’s reputation as the Southeast’s premier agriculture event.
Throughout the day at the Sunbelt Ag Expo, the Georgia Young Farmer Wives partnered with Georgia Grown to host cooking demonstrations in the Family Living Building at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.
This afternoon, Brittany Saylor shared one of her favorite recipes that her husband calls “The Crowd Pleaser”. The Crowd Pleaser is a deer sausage cream cheese with pepper jelly on top – a recipe Saylor created herself. Visitors gathered to watch as Saylor prepared the recipe, enjoying both the demonstration and the chance to sample a taste of Georgia Grown flavor.
