Exciting news! This afternoon at the Willie B. Withers Sunbelt Ag Expo Farmer of the Year Luncheon, the new Farmer of the Year was announced. Kent Hamilton of Southern Valley Fruit and Vegetable, Inc. in Norman Park, Ga., was named the 2025 Farmer of the Year. Hamilton’s wife joined him to celebrate his accomplishment.
Being able to experience the 2025 winner was such a joyful time. His hard work, dedication, and commitment to the farming industry truly symbolize what it means to be Farmer of the Year. It showcased not only Hamilton’s achievement but also the strength of agriculture across the southeast.
The luncheon brought together leaders, farmers and supporters to honor excellence in the farming industry. Hearing Hamilton’s story and learning about his family’s efforts to produce high-quality fruit and vegetables inspired everyone in attendance. His recognition serves as a reminder of the passion and perseverance that drive the agricultural community forward every day and year.
