It’s National Ag Day! Even though we celebrate the agricultural industry year-round here at the Sunbelt Ag Expo, we wanted to take today to honor the people in the industry that make it possible for us to live our daily lives and raise awareness of how influential the agriculture industry is.
The country as a whole has two million farms scattered across rural America (American Farm Bureau Federation). Each one of those farms help to feed and clothe families across the country, as well as globally. As the global population continues to increase, the families and individuals that work in the agriculture industry are continually having to produce products and commodities to provide for the growing population.
At the Sunbelt Ag Expo, industry experts and university researchers work throughout the year together to practice new techniques that aid in efficient production. By doing so, they help to continue advancement in the development of agricultural products. Each year during October, industry professionals are found throughout the vendor booths, live demonstrations, and at field demonstrations sharing about new products and practices making their way into the agricultural industry.
From producers, to universities, to agricultural corporations, there are so many people that are involved and celebrate the industry of agriculture. Use today to celebrate the generosity of those that work in the industry to help provide not only for us but for other industries as well.
