As the oldest department of Agriculture in the country, Georgia’s Department of Agriculture is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. The Georgia Department of Agriculture building is the place to be for education and celebration. It serves as a networking hub for agricultural education and innovation. Additionally, the Department shares the building with Georgia Farm Bureau.

Both entities serve the agricultural community as not only an educational resource but also a support network to support Georgia’s number one industry. This building, found at the front of the Expo grounds, remains a facility for promoting the agricultural industry while showcasing advancements in agriculture, the latest farm technologies, and sustainable practices while staying true to the roots of our heritage.

In addition to the Department of Agriculture, you have the opportunity to meet and connect with Georgia Farm Bureau at the front of the Expo grounds. This organization serves as an insurance agency as well as a partner in the legislative field. Every county in Georgia has a Farm Bureau office, so there is always a chance for you to meet someone who can connect you to the right person. Farm Bureau plays an integral part for farmers and ranchers across the nation. They work to preserve and protect the traditions of agriculture and support agriculturists in their innovations for agriculture. Expo attendees can stop and talk to representatives about various initiatives and programs, benefits with membership, and the resources available to farmers, ranchers, and other agriculture advocates.

The Georgia Department of Agriculture and Georgia Farm Bureau teams are excited to meet and network with you during your trip to Moultrie. They serve as an on-the-field team to answer your questions, promote various agricultural programs, and engage with visitors. The Georgia Department of Agriculture building serves a connecting point of our heritage and practices with the innovation and plans for a better tomorrow. Make sure to stop by this building, and connect with the people who provide food, fuel, fiber, and shelter for not only Georgians but people all over the world.
