Each year in July, the Sunbelt Ag Expo Darrell William’s Research Farm hosts Field Day. Field Day is an opportunity for farmers and growers to visit the Research Farm to see firsthand the new varieties and technologies being tested that they can implement into their own operations. This is one of the things that makes the Sunbelt Ag Expo stand out from other farm shows across the country.
R.W. Griffin is one of the many companies that participate in research at the Darrell Williams Research Farm. This year they have three different crops that make up their research plots. Below are what they will have for growers to see firsthand at this year’s Field Day:

Premium 06g Peanut
- Looking at comparing Topflow, gypsum, and no gypsum
- Last year the Topflow treated plots out yielded the gypsum plots by 300 lbs/ac
- Looking at the addition of seed-safe starter fertilizers in the furrow tank mixed with inoculant
Phytogen 411 Cotton
- Side dress with 18 0 0 3
- Looking at the addition of
- Biologicals
- Micro nutrients
- Bio stimulants in the side dress fertilizer to improve the ROI to the grower
