Teachers and advisors can find information for each contest available at the 2023 Sunbelt Ag Expo. The contest offered this year are the Advocacy in Action, Youth Educational Challenges and FFA Mechanics. The State FFA Tractor Driving Contest is traditionally held at the Sunbelt Ag Expo as well and more information on that can be found at https://www.georgiaffa.org/

2023 Contests

Advocacy in Action

This team event challenges high school and collegiate teams to create a video based on a presented topic.  Teams submit videos prior to the Expo.  Finalists will be named and will attend the Expo to create a second video while working with an industry leader and lobbyist, all in an effort to Advocate for Agriculture.  Registration Deadline is September 8 (Note extended deadline now). FFA Ag Mechanics

This individual event for middle and high school FFA members allows students to enter their metal or wood masterpieces to be judged and then displayed during the Expo for the public to see. Registration deadline is October 1.

Youth Educational Challenges sponsored by Country Financial

These individual contests test middle and high school students knowledge in 5 content areas.  In addition, students will be able to challenge their ag teachers…who has the most ag knowledge?  Participants receive a meal sponsored by Agri-Supply and Coca-Cola.  Registration Deadline is October 6.
